lazd.net site administration demo now back online
March 8th, 2007
The site administration package has received a new look and a new feature set.

Among the new features are:
  • Backup Manager; User-definable levels of automatic backups of page state are saved upon edit and delete. Every time you edit a page, a separate backup is created that can be viewed and restored from the 'Backup Manager'. The entire site database can be downloaded to your hard drive in only a few minutes, allowing you to keep incremental backups of all site content.
  • New editing features that let you save your content as you are working on it, just like a desktop application.
  • Blobs; a new system that allows the same snippet of content to be inserted on any page. When the blob is edited, all the pages with the blob on them reflect the change.
  • Site Statistics; graphs and data that provide insight into where your users are clicking
  • Spambot proof email replacing; Any instance of an email address is replaced with JavaScript that encodes the address, protecting it from e-mail harvesters.
  • Safari 3 compatibility with FCKeditor 2.5
Even the content system is dynamic
March 9th, 2007
Your content isn't the only thing that's dynamic -- the lazd.net site administration system is constantly being updated. Unlike updating software on your computer, an update to the system isn't major surgery. In fact, you might not notice an update has even occurred. Conversely, you may login to edit your site and notice an entire new feature set has been implemented that you can use immediately.
